Schools

Children living in Cedar Hill attend schools within the Cedar Hill Independent School District. The first independent school board for Cedar Hill was founded in 1886, with the first official brick building dedicated in 1888. Today Cedar Hill ISD has over 800 employees and had 420 seniors to graduate in 2007. Cedar Hill ISD is a 5A district with over 7850 students and 13 schools:

• 1 High School with grades 10 - 12
• 1 Ninth Grade Center
• 2 Middle Schools with grades 7 - 8
• 3 Intermediate Schools with grades 5 - 6
• 6 Elementary Schools with grades K - 4
